Addiction Awareness Team
Ministry Training
Team Training is Available for Up to 6 Washington County Congregations

We will help your congregation build a sustainable Addiction & Mental Health Awareness Ministry by:
-
Recruiting and training a committed team
-
Developing a clear mission and ministry plan
-
Equipping leaders with practical tools and resources
-
Launching initiatives that raise awareness and reduce stigma
These steps will support your congregation in becoming known as a place of understanding, compassion, and real support for those who are struggling.

What This Training Does
We equip a small lay team — with pastoral support — to launch and sustain an addiction awareness ministry in your congregation.
This is not about becoming a treatment center.
It is about becoming ready.
Your team receives:
-
4 hours of focused instruction
-
A practical ministry guidebook
-
Curated online resources
-
A step-by-step launch framework
-
Ongoing coaching and support
This is a proven, lay-led model designed for
long-term sustainability.
Why This Matters
Addiction thrives in silence.
Stigma keeps people hiding.
Churches often don’t know where to begin.
A trained team can:
-
Increase awareness
-
Reduce stigma
-
Offer education
-
Connect people to recovery resources
-
Support families before a crisis hits
When it is safe to speak, someone needs to be ready to listen.
